Buyer
Sandy, UT Full Time Exempt Position

 

Job Description:
Manage several product categories with the goal of growing category sales.  Select the products and brands to be offered in each category.  Target and approach new brands to be added to Liberty Mountain’s offerings.  Build and manage vendor relationships.  Resolve vendor problems.  Negotiate programs with vendors.  Prepare product information for website and catalog presentation with emphasis on improving the web content and utility.  Analyze historical sales information and use that data to adjust inventory reorder pints and forecast new and existing item sales.

 

Qualifications and Skills:
Required Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience

 

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Excellent computer skills are necessary. 
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Data management and reporting skills.
  • Experience developing web content and marketing products online.
  • Good understanding of business math and an ability to convert sales data into a demand curve.

Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Maintain a high in stock rate for assigned categories by ordering in response to demand, adjusting stock quantities, forecasting, utilizing customer forecasts, writing preorders, and working with vendors to ensure we get appropriate priority.
  • Input data to organize and locate inventory in Navision (our ERP), and operate spreadsheets.
  • Write concise and complete product descriptions for web and catalog publication taking the most pertinent information from that provided by vendors.  In some cases creating descriptions fromminimal information provided by vendors or gleaned from other sources including personal experience.
  • Merchandise items on the web and input pertinent search terms.  Organize and add other relevant information such as specifications, videos, instructions, reviews, accessories, and images.
  • Support sales with expert product knowledge and assistance with product recommendations.
  • Negotiates prices, discounts, terms, and transportation arrangements for merchandise.
  • Work with sales and purchasing personnel to obtain information about customer needs and preferences.
  • Examine, select, order, and purchase merchandise consistent with quality, specification requirements and other factors.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in current processes or procedures.
  • During the new product selection season (Sept – Jan) substantial long hourswill be required to meet weekly and monthly deadlines.

IT Help Desk Technician
Sandy, UT – Part-time Position

 

Liberty Mountain is looking for an IT Help Desk Technician who can help employees with issues on their individual systems, as well as troubleshoot company wide issues. Experience in both PCs and Macs is required, and experience in networking will be an advantage. We are looking for someone who would work 15-20 hours on site per week.

 

Responsibilities
The position’s responsibilities are to:

  • Diagnose software and hardware problems and quickly resolve issues, whether PC or Mac.
  • Prioritize issues that are logged and process through those in order of importance.
  • Update systems with the latest patches and security updates.
  • Resolve printing issues.
  • Troubleshoot networking and downtime issues.
  • Isolate performance issues to determine root causes for resolution.
  • Communicate work accomplished and escalate any issues that cannot be quickly resolved.


Qualifications
Technically speaking, candidates should have the following:

  • Ability to independently solve varying tech support issues and research complex ones as needed.
  • A deep understanding of both Mac and PC hardware and operating systems.
  • At least two years of related experience, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with networking infrastructure, printers, Microsoft software, VPN software, Dynamics NAV, security, servers, remote desktop support, and SQL support.

Territory Sales Representative
Full Time Exempt Position

Job Description:
Develop, maintain, and manage customer relations and sales of a given territory in respect to the Liberty Mountain structure, mission statement, and motto by visiting accounts, giving clinics,  prebooking orders and producing a.s.a.p. orders, while creating a profitable and growing business for both the Customer and Liberty Mountain.

 

Qualifications and Skills:
Required Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience

Work Experience: Preferred 1- 2 years of Outdoor Industry Sales

Skills and General Experience: Communication, Customer  Service, Meeting SalesGoals,Closing Skills,Territory Management, Prospecting Skills, Negotiation, Self-Confidence, ProductKnowledge, Presentation Skills, Client Relationships, and Motivation for Sales. Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Develop territories by entering orders, taking calls,pre-booking orders, account prospecting and producing a.s.a.p. orders.  Manage backorders effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain contact and organize visits/clinics with store buyers and employees to increase their knowledge, sales, and selection of Liberty Mountain products.
  • Participate in setting and accomplishing sales goals for territory.
  • Efficiently import and process sales orders submitted through avenues including website, email, phone, and the occasional fax.
  • Create new customers and opportunities for sales growth within the territory and company.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining, retaining, and growing the existing customer base while also finding new customers to add to the overall business creating sales growth within territories and company.
  • Resolve complaints in a professional and empathetic way.
  • Proactively monitor and communicate with customers regarding MAP pricing.  Investigate pricing and vendor policy compliance issues.
  • Report frequently to sales management regarding sales data, new customers, customer visits/clinics, customer feedback, recommendations, sales opportunities and any other pertinent information.
  • Help with preparation and attend industry trade shows if needed throughout the year.  Mandatory visittoOutdoorRetailer twice a year, Winter and Summer shows.
  • Work on special projects and other specifically assigned duties with sales management to help generate new sales and customer retention.
  • Recommend to management improvements in product, packaging, shipping methods, service and procedures to prevent future complaints of a similar nature.
  • As a Full-time employee of Liberty Mountain the expectations will be a minimum of a 40-hour work week, maintain a clean and proper representation, treat all information with utmost respect and confidentiality, represent exclusively Liberty Mountain and its exclusive product lines, and share all information with sales management pertinent to the company’s success.

 

The territory is monitored on a monthly basis paying commissions at the end of each calendar month.  Sales representatives are required to maintain theirown reports and monitor their day-to-day duties and responsibilities and report to sales management.  The sales representatives will also have, including weekly and monthly evaluations as needed, an annual review with sales management to cover their strengths/accomplishments and weakness/things to work on.

 

The company will provide marketing and strategic planning in order to provide a growing environment continually producing the potential for pay increases through the commission pay structure.

 

The sales representative is an extremely valuable part of the Liberty Mountain sales force, as they will not only have interaction with accounts in their territories, but will assist with accounts throughout all territories and special projects from the sales management team.

Job Description:
This employee will perform entry-level purchasing functions and assist purchasing personnel in the efficient procurement of goods and services.

 

Responsibilities:

Duties of this position include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities & Requirements 

  • Entrepreneurial - Self-starter who likes to figure out what to do rather than have someone dictate structure.   Be comfortable in thriving in low structure environment.  Prepare annual sales forecast for territory and participate in long term planning. Follow up on sales leads, prepare basic quotations, make pricing recommendations, and communicate application requirements and specifications to others to prepare complex quotations, and follow up and report on all quotations in a timely manner.
  • Relationship Building - Must be good at meeting people.  Must be comfortable with and like to get acquainted with people and establish a solid connection. 
  • Teaching Ability - Enjoy teaching and explaining things in details.  Gear knowledge is extremely important as the position requires the applicant to teach to working professionals in an industrial atmosphere.  Must understand gear, how it is used, and be confident talking about it.  Promote and participate in customer seminars, workshops and trainings.
  • Network Ability – Building a Network specific to the industry is mandatory.  Must have the ability to maintain and build this Network. Bonus if a Network is already in place.
  • Sales Channel – Identify sales channel independent of Outdoor industry.  Search out short and long term business opportunities and create a pricing structure able to conform to varying types of customer price levels.   Identify current customer within database.  Search out new customers, resellers and direct business.  Work with organizations like ACCT and SPRAT, etc.
  • Certification/Product knowledge - Must be and/or become an expert authority in standards and certificates (NFPA, OSHA, ANSI, CE and EN) and be familiar with all US methods and standards.  Should be able to communicate any adaptations needed with European products in order to improve overall product range.  Provide feedback to have all products conform with US methods and standards where applicable.
  • Become knowledgeable with competing product in order to properly create detailed selling points and advantages.
  • Training – Build training programs within the company and industry.   Ability to develop different experts and channels in different fields: Special Ops, Military, Oil, Wind, Helicopter, Fire, Tower, Off shore, Mining, Construction, Movie and commercials, etc. Build up network of additional knowledgeable instructors to be able to train, travel and sell products.  Build up potential training facilities.
  • Shows – Schedule, coordinate and represent products at shows, clinic, events and any applicable training opportunities.  Identify and attend shows and training seminars specific to the industry.
  • Communication – Must have excellent communications skills.  Provide frequent updates and follow up notes within the company.  Work not only with sales department but also buying department to provide valuable feedback to our vendors.
  • Complete monthly expense reports and monitor expenditures to minimize overall costs.
  • Prepare a weekly itinerary and complete a highlighted call report for Sales Director
